HGV Mechanic needed Middlesbrough Our client, a specialist commercial vehicle centre providing servicing, inspections, repairs, diagnostics, tyres, roller brake testing, is seeking for a HGV Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will an individual with the right expertise to take on a vital role in maintaining and servicing fleet of heavy goods vehicles. Role: HGV Mechanic Hours: Day shift; Monday to Friday Location: Middlesbrough Key responsibilities: * Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a wide range of HGVs. * Diagnose mechanical issues and resolve them efficiently. * Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure vehicles meet all regulatory standards. * Replace or repair faulty components such as engines, brakes, and transmissions. * Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used. * Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines. Requirements: * Fully qualified HGV Mechanic (City&Guilds, NVQ or equivalent). * Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. * Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical and electrical systems. * Ability to work with diagnostic equipment and specialized tools. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work. * A full, clean driving license is preferred. Desirable: * Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models. * Experience in diagnostic systems and electronic repairs.
