Anderson Knight are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join one of our key clients who are a globally renowned Energy business. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. My client is ideally looking for someone newly qualified coming from practice with a strong audit background. However they will be open to candidates with similar experience. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with accounting principles and regulations * Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries * Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and monitor budgets and financial plans * Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors as needed * Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks Requirements: * Qualified Accountant - ACCA / CA * Experience in statutory accounts and experience in a PLC or large corporate environment is a plus. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) * Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights If you are interested in this fantastic Financial Accountant opportunity, then please apply by using the link
