Salary:£40,000
Location: Bedford (Office-based, with travel for events)
In this role, you will be responsible for managing every aspect of all company events, from large-scale conferences to internal face-to-face training sessions and customer dinners. As the Events Manager, you will develop, execute, and manage impactful event initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create memorable and industry-leading experiences that drive brand awareness. This role is predominantly office-based, with a requirement to work at least four days a week at the Bedford HQ, alongside travel for events.
Role Responsibilities
• Event Planning&Execution: Direct the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide variety of events, including conferences, training sessions, and customer engagement events, from concept through to execution.• Event Design&Production: Act as the primary contact for event design, production, and management, working within a cross-departmental events&training team to ensure seamless event execution.• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Business Development, Training, and Customer Service teams, to plan, execute, and oversee multiple events simultaneously.
• Logistics Management: Handle the planning and execution of logistics for events, ensuring all elements are well-organised and efficient.
• Budget Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions that deliver maximum impact.
• Vendor Coordination: Engage with external vendors, suppliers, and partners to secure services, materials, and products necessary for eventsuccess.
• Event Reporting&Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of events and provide post-event reports with insights for continuous improvement.
Essential Skills&Key Competencies
Proven Event Management Experience: Demonstrable experience in managing and executing a variety of events successfully.
Budget Management: Skilled in managing and adhering to event budgets while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Organisational Excellence: Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to quickly address challenges and set priorities in high-pressure situations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work well with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Communication&Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high level of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), and high computer literacy.
Self-Starter: Motivated, proactive, and a team player, with a hands-on approach when required.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends as needed for conferences, events, and launch periods.
