Our client specialises in the manufacture of bespoke fabrications, enclosures, and structural steel, whilst working with some of the major players within industries such Formula 1, Food Production and Medical. As part of a strategic growth plan they have recently invested over a million pounds in capex machinery toadd CNC machining into its portfolio of capabilities. Due to an ever increasing level of enquiries from both new and existing customers, we are looking to recruit a trainee/junior estimator to grow the team. What the role will involve: * Working alongside the account managers, you will be responsible for compiling accurate costings for a wide variety of enquiries that are received. * This will involve working with different teams including production, laser programmers purchasing, and sales. * Client and customer facing, this could be obtaining any additional information needed toestimate the role, following up on a quote you’ve sent over, through to keeping in touch with them throughout the manufacturing process. What we are looking for in the successful candidate: * Background in fabrication and welding. * Excellent communication skills – need to be able to speak to clients, and internal stakeholders. * Estimating experience – understand the process from start to finish.
