This full-time roleoffers the opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4 students and make a real impact on their educational journey. The position is set to start in January 2025, with a potential extension beyond February half-term 2025. Responsibilities of the English Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students in KS3 and KS4. Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their reading, writing, and communication skills. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to support individual learning needs. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any areas for improvement. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an engaging and supportive curriculum. Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Requirements of the English Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications. Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level. Strong understanding of the English curriculum and the ability to create engaging lesson plans. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents. Passion for fostering a love of literature and language in students. Commitment to providing inclusive education and meeting the needs of diverse learners. Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practicesand child protection policies.
