If you're an Engineering Planner and looking for something new, to make your own.... You'll be taking charge of our engineering stores while supporting continuous improvement (CI) efforts. About the Role This role is integral to implementing best practices in inventory management while optimizing processes and maintaining cost efficiency. You’ll take ownership of the engineering stores area, oversee the introduction of new systems (including CMMS), and align with planned maintenance improvements. Key Responsibilities Stores Management: Full-cycle stores management and control. Oversee spare parts and refurbishment systems, ensuring COSHH compliance. Conduct regular stock counts and optimize spares inventory levels. Identify obsolete stock and maintain stock accuracy via CMMS. System Implementation: Lead the setup and management of the company’s CMMS system (IFS). Drive inventory management improvements using data-driven insights. Collaborate with project teams to ensure incoming parts requirements are met. Continuous Improvement: Apply CI techniques within the stores to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Maintain and enhance 5S standards for the engineering stores. Collaboration and Reporting: Monitor supplier performance and manage purchase requests/orders. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the stores. Support planned maintenance schedules and matrix reviews. What We’re Looking For Experience: Full-cycle stores experience and control. Proven experience with CMMS systems Experience implementing new systems and processes. Some exposure to continuous improvement (CI) principles. Skills: Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
