One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers are currently recruiting for Test Engineers with experience in Body Electronics, HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) or Infotainment, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. Based in Bedfordshire, you will support the Electrical&Electronic (EE) Test team on a rolling contract basis. The Electrical Test Engineer responsibilities include: * Management of electrical reliability tests * Support design departments to ensure the quality of component testing * Concern identification and resolving issues * Creation of test plans and testing procedures and overall vehicle test coordination * Reporting of test results * Provide Technical support to the production plant and test house Qualifications and skills for the Electrical Test Engineer include: * Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant discipline * Working knowledge of electrical architecture * Understand electrical theory, the operation of electronic devices, electromagnetic fundamentals and components, and vehicle EMC test requirements * Experienced in risk assessment of electrical design and generation of test plans * Understand network communications and bus principles * Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections * Experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development There is a requirement to travel abroad within this role, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be longer. ** PLEASE NOTE ** To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work in the UK.
