The scope of this change agenda includes but is not limited to: * Growing the organisation at pace to deliver new accountabilities for regulating online harms * Attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent with the capabilities required for now and the future * Continuing to leverage our diverse and inclusive culture * Leading with agility, predicting, and adapting quickly to changes in the context in which we operate The purpose and scope of the role The Early Careers Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the Early Careers Team in the delivery of our Early Careers programmes, including Graduates, Apprentices, Interns and Work Experience. Reporting to the Senior Talent and Performance Lead, and working closely with the Early Careers team and internal and external stakeholders, the Early Careers Administrator provides administrative support across the programmes. This includes the day-to-day operations of Early Careers recruitment, onboarding and programme management to ensure Ofcom is building a high performing, diverse and inclusive future talent pipeline. Your Key Responsibilities * Own and manage all requests for Work Experience, supporting colleagues to follow our Work Experience process and ensure that students benefit from a valuable placement with Ofcom. * Engage with colleagues who are interested in enrolling onto an apprenticeship as part of up-skilling in their role, providing them with information and guidance on appropriate apprenticeship standards and liaising with apprenticeship providers and our Learning&Development team as necessary, supported by the Senior Talent Associate. * Work with the Early Careers and Communications teams to produce regular communications updates on the activities and successes of our programmes across internal and external audiences. * Provide administrative and logistical support to the Early Careers team including arranging meetings, scheduling activities, room bookings and travel/accommodation bookings for Early Careers events. * Support the Early Careers team with programme activities to ensure a seamless experience across assessment centres, onboarding, rotations, performance, development, and retention. The skills, knowledge and experience you’ll need for success * Highly organised and comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising to manage a busy workload and meet competing deadlines * Delivers operational tasks to a high standard using established processes and procedures * Drafts clear and accurate documents, with supportwhere required * Effectively communicates with stakeholders in a clear and respectful manner, contributing to a positive work environment * Proactive and enthusiastic approach in offering help and support to others * Ability to work both independently (i.e. with minimal supervision, high attention to detail and following tasks through from start to finish) and as an effective team member * Develops relationships within team and more broadly across Ofcom * Embraces empowerment * Is respectful, agile, focuses on excellence and collaborates with others * Shares own views respectfully to provide diversity of thought * Experience in working within a People/HR team in either an administrative or support role * Good working knowledge of IT applications skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Desirable: previous experience working in Early Careers At Ofcom weprioritise inclusive and diverse recruitment in order to truly reflect the society we represent.
