Tooling Engineer Coventry Monday-Friday 40 hours per week Permanent£33000 per year DOE Our client requires a tooling engineer to maintain and produce tooling for use in CNC machines for the production of components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by customer specifications. For the role of tooling engineer you willbe required to set tooling and do regrinds on tooling where needed and to ensure that all tooling is available to the machinists when needed via set up and kitting lists. Ideally, you will be from a tooling background and have a knowledge of CNC tooling and the setup required. Responsibilities-* In conjunction with the CNC team leaders, Project leaders, Section Supervisors/Works Managers oversee the day-to-day operation of the CNC Milling to ensure the smooth running of the section * Attend production meetings once a week to communicate and feedback on the CNC production schedules* Ensure all programs are saved at all times as per company procedures * Ensure machine processes are running at optimum efficiency and correct speed and feed, including regrinding of tools. * Support and advise other employees when required to ensure all operations are carried out efficientlyand accurately to customer's requirements, drawing tolerance and specifications * Ensure effective and regular communication with CNC milling supervisor and programme writer to ensure loading board instructions are accurate and up to date and that the section runs at maximum production * Ensure all tooling requirements are in place before component is loaded * Complete tooling set up sheets and kitting lists adhering to and developing company procedures and working in conjunction with stores and consumable supervisor * Feedback to line managers and supervisors and changes to programs before changing masters Benefits- * Up to £33000 basic * Weekday and Weekend overtime available at premium rates * Free onsite parking * Canteen * Pension * Upskilling internal and external training * 28 days annual leave that increases with service If you feel you matchthe criteria and Coventry is a suitable work location, apply
