Job Title: Class 1 Day Driver Location: Haydock Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 1 Day Driver to join our team in Haydock. This role involves general haulage work, delivering palletised loads to various locations. The ideal candidate will be punctual, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining excellent customer service while managing their deliveries efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Safely and efficiently operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle. * Deliver up to 10 dropsloads per day to designated destinations. Collections en route back to depot * Carry out general haulage tasks, ensuring compliance with all transport regulations. * Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects. * Load and unload goods where required, ensuring all deliveries are secure and undamaged. * Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logbooks. * Communicate effectively with the transport team to report any delays or issues. Requirements * Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence with no more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only). * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. * Previous experience in general haulage or multi-drop deliveries preferred. * Good geographical knowledge of the Haydock area and surrounding regions. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. * Excellent customer service and communication skills.
