Drainage Engineer Cambridge Permanent– Full time (directly employed) £32,000 - £36,000 Basic Salary (DOE) + vehicle, fuel card, enhanced overtime The Client My client is a company that specialises in complete plumbing, gas and drainage services to their corporate clients, managing domestic and commercial properties. The companyprovide a quick and competitively priced response to their clients’ needs whether it be a simple blockage, a drain collapse, or a burst water pipe. Due to recent expansion, they currently have an opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer to work in the Cambridge area. The Role This is afield service position. The main purpose of the role is to cover all emergency and PPM drainage related issues for domestic&commercial properties. You will predominantly be site based undertaking all drainage and basic plumbing duties whilst ensuring, where possible, that work is completed on the first visit. You will be able to confidently explain to customers what work you need to carry out ensuring you leave them with peace of mind and confidence in the company’s abilities Responsibilities Being a trusted employee for all preventative maintenance and remedial work requirements for drainage issues - commercial and domestic sites. Blockages – locating blockages and clearing blockages with high pressure jetting equipment CCTV camera experience is necessary to trace and locate issues, pre and post surveys Manhole entry / breaking experience - experience of using power tools Remedial follow-on works to be carried out Basic plumbing would be a great advantage You must be a people person and be able to confidently explain and issues to customers, so they understand the problems and what work is necessary to resolve You will be in a field service position and will travel to arranged site locations daily, from home. You are required to be at site at 8.00am. The Requirements Drainage work experience is a must - competent in high pressurewater jetting. Basic internal domestic plumbing experience would be very desirable. Good attitude to work – regardless of time of day or weather conditions Excellent customer service skills – delivering world class service Able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team Can work to strict deadlines Able to work in an organised and tidy manner Hold a current UK Driving licence – no more than 6 points due to company insurance Successful applicants will be subject to a basic criminal record and DVLA check.
