Department Overview Joining our FX Academy, Business Development Executives sit within the Sales department and the primary objective is to generate leads for the wider team to follow up on, generating a pipeline of revenue for the business. A culture of hard-work is prominent within this department as performance targets and KPIs are fundamental to the role. Extensive training is issued from experienced FX account managers therefore no previous experience is required. Many who have joined in this role have gone on to be come Corporate Account Managers or even Heads of Desk so the potential is there for career growth. Job Overview As part of the FX Academy, the core activity is making outbound calls to potential prospects and capturing vital information that qualifies new leads to be passed on to the Closing Team. With such a large volume of calls expected each day, essential qualities are perseverance and a professional telephone manner so that the business is represented in a good light at all times.Key Responsibilities – Make effective, highly professional outbound calls to key decision makers and shareholders – Successfully identify new opportunities within the UK and European FX markets – Cold calling will play a major part of your career throughout this role – Lead sourcing –Systematically develop a well-researched database of prospective clients for the business – Liaising with the corporate account executive team and other key business areas – Achieve set KPI’s and Sales targets – Keeping up to date with all financial markets – Become an expert on riskmanagement business solutions – Build relationships with key decision makers including Financial Directors/Managing Directors across a range of different companies – Be clinical in finding large business opportunities – Demonstrate a keen commercial awareness for the FX markets – Be self-motivated to learn and develop your skills into the next role – Identify profit angles with both new and existing clients Skills&Experience– Excellent telephone manner and communication skills – Influence and persuasion – Product knowledge – Self-motivated and results/target driven – Team-working – Good IT skills Company Benefits – Competitive salary – Industry-leading commission structure – Pension scheme –Private healthcare – Subsidised gym membership – Market and sales training provided daily – Monthly roundups with lunch provided to all staff – Complimentary fruit and coffee machine – Company and team social
