Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with hospitality and management experience to ensure the efficient operation and high standards of the Club’s facilities, providing an exceptional experience to all club members and guests. Reporting to the Club's Steering Committee, the Club Steward will oversee the planning, management, and daily operations of the Club, ensuring the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities: for the Hospitality Club Steward
Operational Management: Oversee all Club operations, including the Club bar, event planning, and facility management to maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all guests.
Staff Supervision: Ensure appropriate staffing levels, manage hiring and rotas, and ensure staff are well-trained, presentable, and knowledgeable about products and customer engagement.
Bookings&Communication: Handle Club bookings and function coordination, including timely responses to booking inquiries, and liaising with kitchen staff, cleaning teams, and other personnel.
Inventory&Stock Control: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring the availability and quality of beverages and supplies, and maintain proper records for stock rotation and accounting purposes.
Regulations Compliance: Ensure all staff comply with licensing regulations and health&safety standards, including security, fire safety, and Legionella protocols.
Customer Service: Address any concerns raised by club members or guests promptly and professionally, maintaining a record of feedback for ongoing improvement.
Financial Management: Follow the Club's accounting procedures, handling invoices, deposits, bonds, and payment records accurately.
Essential requirements for the Hospitality Club Steward include:
Must be flexible with working hours as there will be weekend work required.
Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar role, preferably within a club or event-oriented environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both with staff and club members.
Reliable, proactive, and able to handle both routine tasks and unexpected challenges.
