Job field / Job profile :Means and equipment maintenance/Maintenance engineering Employment type :Permanent Position description : Summary:• The individual(s) will be responsible for the production line Testing equipment(setup, support and improvement) for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product; encompassing aircraft power generation and power distribution components. Essential Duties&Responsibilities:• Advise, direct, and train MRO personnel in repair and test techniques/methods on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145. • Review maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulation and the established technical evaluation procedures. • Develop procedures for repair and testing. Documentation to be used by Operations personnel. • Work closely with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes are performed in accordance with Safran Quality documents andreturn to service criteria. • Design, modify, and prototype tooling required for use in the maintenance and repair of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products. • Specify, develop and modification of test equipment for use on various aircraft components. • Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics. • Draft and assist in creating major repairs with DER and PMA submittals. • Communicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed. • Work seamlessly with offsite engineering team for support and approval whennecessary. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Regular, predictable attendance is required. • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary. Education and/or Experience:• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution • 1 year of experience as an Electrical or Manufacturing Engineer. Knowledge/skills: • Ability to read, interpret and apply Engineering Standards. • Experience with electrical equipment, hydraulic equipment, turbines and/or aerospace equipment. • Strong ability to use electronics laboratory equipment, i.e. multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, etc. • Understanding of various machining and manufacturing processes. • Strong ability to collect and interpret data to troubleshootand problem solve. • Ability to read and create electrical schematics. • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems. Preferred Qualifications: • 1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer. • Direct or indirect knowledge of FAA part 145 Capability evaluation experience. • Experience with CAD for 3D modeling, drafting, and circuit diagram creation. • Experience with Configuration Control and PLM systems. • Experience with NI LabVIEW, PLC, DAQ hardware and general PID / automation processes • Experience with aircraft starters, generators, transform rectifiers, generator control units, power distribution panels, and ram air turbines. • Familiarity with one or more - 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145. Physical Demands: Sitting 50%/ Standing 25%/ Walking&lifting 25% (up to 25 lbs)Work Environment: Equal split between office work and working on the shop floor with production technicians.
