A Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing and improving products, systems, and machinery using computer-aided design (CAD) software. They work alongside engineers and other professionals to ensure that product concepts are functional, cost-effective and meet customer requirements. Design Engineers are pivotal in bringing new innovations to life, from the initial design stages through to the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new product concepts that meet customer needs and market trends.
• Design and develop product structures/ systems/ parts using CAD software.
• Conduct research on new technologies, materials, and methods to improve product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as design specifications, assembly instructions, and materials bills of material.
