Cogent Staffing are recruiting on behalf of our Wimbledon based client for a Senior Management Account with experience working in the manufacturing sector. * Hybrid working (3 days per week on site) * Hours: Full time 37.5 hours / Permanent *£60,000 per annum Role and Responsibilities The Senior Management Accountant will be assisted by a team of 4 accounts staff, two of which are located in Ireland. He/she will report to and provide support to the Financial Controller in the following areas: * Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidation of the UK and Irish operations * Oversee monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet items and stock counts * Weekly and monthly reporting to the US parent company * Assist in monitoring the operational performance through providing detailed operational analysis * Support budget and forecasting activities * Support the implementation and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting systems and processes * Assistance with ad-hoc financial modelling as required * Preparation and submission of statutory returns includingVAT in UK and Ireland * Control the accuracy of standing data in the ERP system including BOMS and standard costs. * Monitor and control working capital including debtor collection, payment of UK and Irish suppliers * Capable of assisting in other areas such as pricing and production planning * Mentor and develop junior accounting staff * Assist in the annual audit and involvement in any other ad-hoc reporting as required Experience and qualifications A qualified accountant (preferably CIMA) with experience in manufacturing. The individual is likely to have had several year’s experience in manufacturing post qualification.
