We are looking for two ambitious and experienced Project Safety Leads to join our Safety Team. You will lead on work within the Safety Improvement Project, providing the foundations to bring our Safety Management System to life and create lasting change.
Your role
As a Project Safety Lead, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Safety Team to deliver key components within the strategic project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating accessible, user-centric safety tools and guidance materials
- Providing our safety leaders with role-specific safety training packages
- Developing an enduring method to test our safety performance against the Safety Management System
You will build relationships to support, guide, and advise individuals on safety leadership, behaviours, and performance. You will lead and deliver on an array of different project work packages that will contribute to an enduring improvement in the management of safety throughout the RNLI.
About you
Passionate about safety, risk managementand driving continuous improvement in a volunteer led organisation. You will have strong communication skills with the ability to turn technical concepts into practical guidance. Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholder disciplines to inspire and engage people about safety issues.
To be considered for the role, you will need:
- Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration skills – working as part of a project team to solve problems
- Qualifications and experience as a health and safety professional, with an understanding of best practices, standards and legislation
- The ability to work at pace and a resilient self-starter
- To be delivery focussed and able to demonstrate putting the customer at the heart of the experience
This role is suitable for home working but requires regular travel to Poole and occasional travel to other locations, including RNLI Regional Bases.
