Their customers range from major PLCs to independent producers, offering diverse and exciting challenges in the role. About You We’re looking for a problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in project management within an engineering environment. The ideal candidate will be: * Confident, determined, and resultsdriven * Committed to continuous improvement in skills, office operations, and business processes * Professional in telephone and faceto-face communications * Highly organised with excellent notetaking and record-keeping skills * Efficient in managing and prioritising workloads Required Qualifications&Experience Leadership experience within an engineering environment Proficiency in DraftSight and SolidWorks Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Expertise in material selection Experience designing automated equipment FMCG sector experience (highly desirable) Key Responsibilities Project&Sales Support: Ensure accuracy and feasibility of solutions and quotes Customer Liaison: Engage directly with clients and conduct site surveys across the UK&Ireland Design&Engineering: * Lead system design reviews with sales, electrical, and production teams * Create detailed 2D&3D models using DraftSight and SolidWorks * Produce high-quality manufacturing drawings * Work closely with the electrical design team throughout the process * Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), cut lists, and installation drawings Process&Workflow Management: Identify and implement improvements in processes and workflows Stock&Supplier Coordination: Monitor material/component stock, liaise with suppliers, place orders, and track deliveries Production Oversight: Track design and production progress, troubleshoot errors, and drive efficiency improvements Project Management: Oversee projects from quotation to installation, ensuring timely delivery and quality execution Documentation&Compliance: Generate technical documentation, machine manuals, and maintain data in a PDM system Team Leadership: Manage engineering personnel in the factory and a design engineer Strategic Planning: Review plans with Directors to assess feasibility If you’re an experienced engineering professional looking to take ownership of projects in a dynamic and growing company, we want to hear from you!
