Field-Based Mechatronics Engineer - Robotic Welding Systems Location: UK&Ireland Job Type: Permanent Package: Competitive Salary + Van + Tools + Ongoing Training Are you a hands-on engineer with a background in mechatronics, robotics, electrical systems, or automation? What You'll Be Doing: Install, commission, and maintain industrial robotic welding systems on customer sites Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnosis, and repair Use and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams during servicing and upgrades Carry out preventative maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and performance Provide technical support and training to end-users on-site Operate as part of a field-based engineering team, covering the UK and Ireland Willing to stay away up to 3 times per week (accommodation and expenses covered) What We're Looking For: Qualification in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (Level 3 NVQ, City&Guilds, HNC, etc.) Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, and automation Knowledge or experience with robotic systems (e.g. ABB, Fanuc, KUKA) is a major plus Confident working with mechanical and electrical components in the field Excellent problem-solving and independent diagnostic skills Clear communication and a customer-focused approach Full UK driving licence - travel and overnight stays required What's On Offer: Fully equipped company van Specialist tools, laptop, phone, and company card provided Ongoing technical training - including OEM-specific robotics courses Overtime opportunities paid at standard rate 37-hour working week: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM No weekend work required Work with cutting-edge automation and welding technology Why Apply?
