Expleo is currently recruiting Functional Safety Test Engineers to join our team on-site with our client, a leading Automotive Manufacturer, based in Shannon, Ireland, on a permanent basis, Responsibilities of the Functional Safety Test Engineer include: * Ensure development processes comply with ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 * Support ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) compliance through safety planning and verification activities * Lead on unit testing, integration testing, and qualification testing as per ISO 26262 guidelines * Ensure traceability between safety requirements, design, implementation, and validation * Production of test strategies to ensure traceability and rigour requirements are achieved against the functional safety functions * Management and execution of tests * Authorship of test cases * Work closely with system engineers, software developers, and validation teams to ensure functional safety integration * Collaborate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and regulatory bodies to align safety and testing strategies Background and skills required for the Functional Safety Test Engineer position: * Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field * Functional Safety experience * Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 * Familiarity with power electronic components * Competent with National Instruments Test Equipment * Hands-on experience with high voltage power supply systems and verification trials / testing * Knowledge of automated tests that measure accurate timing sequences To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out, unfortunately we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
