Senior Quantity Surveyor– Dublin/Leinster – Residential&Commercial Our client is a€500m turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland&Europe. They undertake large turnkey projects for blue-chip clientele, in Europe the focus is on Data Centres and similar tech-focussed projects. In Ireland they operate as more of a generalist main contractor working across a variety of industry sectors including healthcare / hospitals, residential, education and industrial Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Dublin/Leinster. Responsibilities·Cost Estimation and Budgeting: The Senior QS is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for the project. They assess the scope of work, materials, labour, and other resources required, ensuring that all costs are considered and that the project stays within financial limits.·Procurement and Contract Management: The Senior QS manages the procurement process, which includes selecting and negotiating with contractors and suppliers. They also oversee contract administration, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met, and that agreements are aligned with project goals and legal standards. ·Cost Control and Monitoring: The Senior QS tracks and manages project costs throughout its lifecycle, regularly reviewing expenses and identifying any discrepancies. They provide reports on cost performance, flagging potential cost overruns and recommending corrective actions to keep the project within budget. ·Value Engineering and Risk Management: They analyse project designs and construction methods to identify opportunities for cost savings or more efficient alternatives, while ensuring that the quality and scope of the project are not compromised. The Senior QSalso assesses and manages risks related to costs, materials, and market conditions. ·Client and Stakeholder Communication: The Senior QS acts as a liaison between the client, contractors, and other stakeholders. They provide regular updates on financial progress, address any concerns, and ensurethat all parties are aligned on cost-related matters throughout the project.
