Quality Auditor– Munster – Construction
Our client is a €500m turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland&Europe. They undertake large turnkey projects for blue-chip clientele, in Europe the focus is on Data Centres and similar tech-focussed projects. In Ireland they operate as more of a generalist main contractor working across a variety of industry sectors including healthcare / hospitals, residential, education and industrial
Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking a Quality Auditor in Munster.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring Compliance with BCAR Requirements: The Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring that the project complies with all aspects of the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BCAR), which include the preparation and maintenance of the Design Cert and Construction Cert. They ensure that all documentation, including compliance records, are up to date and meet the requirements set out by the regulations.
* Site Inspections and Auditing: The Quality Auditor conducts regular site inspections to ensure that the construction work aligns with the approved design and complies with relevant building regulations, codes of practice, and quality standards. They assess construction practices, materials, and workmanship, identifying any areas where non-compliance or quality issues may arise.
* Document Control and Record Keeping: A critical part of the Quality Auditor’s role is ensuring that all necessary documentation, such as inspection reports, test results, and certifications, are properly stored and accessible. They ensure that all documents related to the project, especially those required under BCAR, are maintained, accurate, and in compliance with regulations.
* Collaboration with Design and Construction Teams: The Quality Auditor works closely with project managers, contractors, designers, and subcontractors to ensure that quality standards are adhered to throughout the project. They provide feedback, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), andoffer guidance on resolving issues to maintain quality compliance during construction.
* Reporting and Continuous Improvement: The Quality Auditor prepares and submits reports on the quality of the construction work and the status of compliance with BCAR. They highlight areas of concern, offer recommendations for improvement, and track corrective actions to ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner. They may also recommend improvements to the project’s quality management system.
Requirements
Must have 10+ years Irish experience
Must have Construction projects experience
