**DESCRIPTION** **Job Summary:** Performs routine and repetitive tests, set-ups, and calibrations to support Instrumentation Engineering activities. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining complex emission systems, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with various internal teams to uphold quality and safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform routine and repetitive tests, set-ups, and calibrations on test equipment and systems. + Install terminals, fabricate, and assemble electronic systems, harnesses, and test cells. + Construct and install test cell harnesses, rigs, and fixtures, including minor mechanical system assembly. + Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as gauges, transducers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and fuel system measurement rigs. + Operate data acquisition systems, ensuring accurate data collection. + Use tools such as digital multimeters, soldering irons, function generators, and frequency generators. + Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and execute written test plans. + Interface with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions to support testing requirements. + Participate in quality procedure maintenance, continuous improvement projects, and self/team audits. + Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintaining a 5S and safety-oriented environment. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Competencies:** + **Data Acquisition:** Ensures accurate data collection and calibration for reliable results. + **Data Reporting:** Clearly organizes and presents testing data and analysis. + **Product Function Test System Design:** Selects and integrates equipment and software to meet test requirements. + **Test Article Build:** Assembles and prepares test articles for functional tests. + **Test Setup and Configuration:** Optimizes test setup according to safety and environmental standards. + **Action Oriented:** Tackles challenges with urgency and enthusiasm. + **Communicates Effectively:** Tailors communication to suit different audiences. + **Decision Quality:** Makes timely and informed decisions. + **Drives Results:** Achieves consistent results, even under challenging circumstances. + **Manages Complexity:** Navigates complex information to solve problems effectively. + **Health and Safety Fundamentals:** Promotes a proactive safety culture. + **Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:** Develops maintenance strategies to enhance manufacturing processes. + **Values Differences:** Appreciates diverse perspectives and cultures. **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** + High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field. + Regionally applicable certification or a two-year associate’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field may be required. + Licensing may be necessary for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:**Some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Skills and Knowledge:** 1. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to emission equipment (e.g., Horiba Mexa, AVLSPC478, PN counter, FTIR). 2. Strong focus on ensuring test correctness and maintaining data integrity. 3. Ability to support operations across 3 shifts, including Sundays and holidays. 4. Experience in performing preventive maintenance and calibration of emission systems according to a scheduled plan. 5. Proactively monitor and improve emission system uptime. 6.
