We’re seeking a Leasing Agent & Office Assistant for a local property management and grounds maintenance business in Ellensburg. This is a Monday through Friday schedule with a total of 37.5 hours per week. Compensation and benefits for this position include:
• Compensation of $20.00-22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:
This position works Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Work week of 37.5 hours.
The position:
This individual is the main point of contact for all clients and must be capable of being professional, courteous, and providing quality customer service in all situations. This position is involved in all aspects of the daily operations of the property management office including customer service, general office and clerical duties, leasing, renewals, move-out processing, maintenance, accounts payable & receivable. This is a ‘do-it-all’ position and requires the ability to be adaptable and handle a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Receptionist duties include being the point of contact for all customers by assisting clients on multi-line phone system, in person, and by email. Receiving and handling client questions, messages, and concerns. Relaying accurate information to other staff. Must be able to handle difficult scenarios or customers with a calm demeanor.
• General office duties include receiving, recording, and depositing payments. Handling and filing paperwork. Data entry. Office cleaning. Tracking calendar for all staff. Running wide variety of errands. Purchasing and tracking supplies, materials, and parts. Communicate and help coordinate with other personnel to complete tasks. Answering basic rental and lease questions as directed by other staff. Scheduling appointments and work orders.
• Advertising duties include market research on the local rental market for advertising purposes and preparing unit ads and photos.
• Leasing duties include communicating and follow-up with prospective new tenants, scheduling and conducting showings of advertised rentals, assisting with application processing, and preparing documents for new tenant move-ins.
• Assisting with lease renewals. Preparing renewal letters and offers, renewal follow up with tenants to ensure renewals are completed on time.
• Handling maintenance tasks. Taking tenant maintenance requests, determining necessary action, creating work orders, coordinating vendors and follow up on completion.
• Handling move-out processes. Sending move-out letters and instructions to vacating tenants, ensuring vacating tenant questions are answered, ensuring keys are returned on time.
• Assisting with turnover process of vacant units including inspecting recently vacated units, coordinating vendors, move-in inspections.

• Proficient with computers and software. Able to navigate between computer files, internet browsers, and word processing programs to complete tasks.
• Good typing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to learn new software quickly.
• Flexible and positive attitude.
Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Office experience preferred; must meet skills criteria above at minimum.
• High school diploma required. College education preferred, but not required.
• Prior to final offer of employment position, Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
