As the successful candidate, you will:
Be responsible for the Support in execution of the engineering activities for Global Projects including, but not limited to preparing C&A deliverables using COMOS.
Report to the Lead Control and Automation Engineer on a large project and to the Project Manager or Engineering Manager on a small project.
Assist the Engineering Manager or Lead Control and Automation Engineer, as applicable, with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule. Prepare, subject to the approval of the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager, technical documentation/ deliverables required for the execution of the project, including but not limited to general Control and Automation deliverables.
Ensure that projects C&A Deliverables are technically correct and align with industries, Hatch, and project standards to be complied with internal audits.
Ensure that the design is operable, maintainable, and safe according to the applicable local laws and client safety standards as well as ensure that the design is delivered according to the time schedule.
Promote value engineering on the project with particular emphasis on energy management.
Manage and coordinate with the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager the progress of the engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule, and procedures.
Interface with other discipline engineers to ensure technical and physical interfaces between C&A COMOS deliverables and other disciplines are managed.
Manage and treat C&A COMOS work packages as mini projects; for C&I Diagrams, Hook up Diagrams, Cable block Diagrams, Termination Diagrams and List, Loop diagrams, Panel GA’s.
Assist with the stewardship of the progress of the engineering work packages to extract Datasheets, C&A Equipment Lists to ensure that project budgets and schedules are being met. Assist with implementing corrective action as required.
Assist with the facilitation of quality audits of engineering work and ensure that remedial work in accordance with the project procedures and the quality assurance plan is performed.
As a member of the C&A COMOS engineering team ensure that the checking of documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is implemented in accordance with project procedures.
When requested, assist with the preparation of draft monthly engineering progress reports for incorporation into the engineering monthly report.
You bring to the role:
A recognized degree in Instrumentation & Control/ Electronic/ relevant engineering from an accredited college or university or a technical qualification with suitable practical experience
Minimum five years project engineering experience.
Good understanding of systems and workflows as they relate to the C&A COMOS discipline.
Technical exposure to the Comos tool and hands on related to the project activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal as well as good planning and organizational skills.
Sound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standards as well as good safety awareness.
Preferred experience as Super user in Comos centric design systems and engineering management systems.
Experience in the use of procedures and workflows in the execution of projects.
