Requisition Number: 64327 Corning Inc (www.corning.com)  the world’s largest maker of smartphone cover glass, will begin manufacturing the product in India by the end of 2024 through its joint venture with Noida-based contract manufacturer Optiemus Infracom  Ltd (https://www.optiemus.com/) , which will be called Bharat Innovation Glass Technologies.  The JV company will manufacture finished front and back cover glass for smartphones and the plant is likely to come up in Tamil Nadu.  The Indian facility will meet the demand for the domestic consumers first and then expand its operations overseas. Function/Dept Purpose Statemen:  Provide Project leadership for Facility construction and capital projects. Ensure Safety and Environmental policies are followed without exception. Manage the development and implementation of facility and process support service projects focused on the construction of new or existing production facilities. Stay on after construction is complete and run the newly constructed facility as the Facilities mechanical engineer/lead. Position Responsibilitie: Ensure job site safety during the project phase and carry safety emphasis over into operations phase. Provide project management for manufacturing capital projects to existing firm. Manage the performance of team members and outside resources to meet the project requirements. Establish project plans (scopes, schedule, cost estimates, procurement/contracting strategy, project acceptance criteria, etc.). Work with business in the preparation and approval of Capital  Requests. Conduct project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions. For key projects, establish and coordinate activities of a steering committee for the project. Provide periodic project updates to customer and cross-functional management. Oversee all onboard facility systems from installation to commissioning while ensuring compliance with   Complete engineering & drawing reviews to ensure that design team specifications and instructions are carried out and implemented on site. Knowledge in Statutory requirements. Facilities technicians gain significant GF experience and multi-level management experience with a reputable, values oriented MNC/Indian company. Facilities engineer acquire ground level knowledge and hands on experience for the steady state processes and equipment they will be supporting.  Minimum Requirements: B.E / B. Tech in Electrical or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Minimum 10 years overall experience and 3 years in hands on construction management Strong Electrical and/or Mechanical Aptitude Experience with utilities ordering, installation and commissioning which includes but not limited to Industrial – 110KV Sub station equipment’s, Power transformers, DG Systems, HT Switchgears, Cabling, Electrical works related to HVAC - Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Industrial Gas system, Water treatment and waste water treatment systems, Fire alarm and Fighting systems and related regulation Experience with Safety function
