Position Info: · Position: Early Childhood Educator · Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent · Wage: $31.00~$34.00/hour (depending on experience) · Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week · Number of Positions: 1 · Work Location: 1095 Tolmie Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 2H4 Benefits: · 4% vacation pay Job Duties: · Develop child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children · Maintain daycare equipment and an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children · Provide opportunities for children to express creativity through creative and diverse activities · Observe children's behavioural problems or progress and prepare reports for parents or supervisor · Assist children in establishing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits · Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts · Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's development and difficulties Job requirements: · Language: English · Experience: Experience is an asset · Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required · Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E.
