The role entails planning and coordinating the growth and utilization of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other relevant applications. . Position: Landscape Horticulturist Wage: C$ 23.00-30.00 hourly (to be negotiated) Working Hours: 30-40 hours working / week (to be negotiated) Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: 204B- 3690 Shelbourne St, Victoria, BC, V8P 4H2 Number: 2 Job duties: ● Create landscape design plans and responsible for the actual construction work of landscape projects. ● Supervise the execution of the entire project, including communication and coordination with clients, contractors, and other horticultural professionals ● Responsible for planting, pruning, trimming, and weeding. ● Choose and arrange plants based on geographical location, climatic conditions, soil types, and client preferences. This includes selecting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other ground cover plants. ● Evaluate soil conditions and take measures to improve soil for promoting plant growth. ● Stay updated on the latest developments in horticulture, landscaping techniques, and plant species to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
