Job duties: · Draft surveys prior to and upon completion of cargo loading/discharging. · Perform hold inspections prior to cargo loading ensuring cleanliness of cargo holds. · Provide advice on hold preparation for bulk cargo loading with familiarity in CFIA cleanliness standards for grain loading. · Cargo supervision during operations to monitor the quality and quantity of cargo loaded. · Perform damage assessments of vessel and cargo for parties. · Conduct bunker surveys prior to and upon completion of stemming bunkers. · Survey the condition of a vessel's hull, deck, and cargo spaces. · Daily reporting and report writing of particulars acquired during operation attendances.
