C4U Cafe is currently hiring for Food Counter Attendants Position Title: Food Counter Attendant Location: C4U Cafe 955 Burrard St Vancouver, BC V6Z 1Y2 Canada Duration: Permanent, Full-time, Part Time Salary: $17.40/hour for 35 - 40 hours a week. Overtime applicable after 40 hours. Positions available: 2 Anticipated start date: As soon as possible (at the latest in 3 months) Job Responsibilities: · Prepare and assemble a variety of meals, sandwiches, wraps, salads, pastries, and beverages as per the café's menu. · Portion, assemble, and plate food for customers, ensuring presentation meets quality standards, or package take-out food as needed. · Utilize kitchen equipment to prepare and cook food items, including the preparation of meals, pastries, and beverages according to café offerings. · Greet customers, take their orders, suggest additional menu items, and offer upsells, particularly for catering services and special event packages. · Stock refrigerators, display cases, and food preparation areas with fresh ingredients and supplies, ensuring everything is organized and accessible. · Adhere to food safety and quality standards, ensuring all meals, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages are prepared in a clean and safe environment. · Maintain a clean and sanitized café, including kitchen surfaces, prep areas, dining spaces, and bathrooms, following health and safety guidelines. · Handle customer feedback, address complaints, and inform supervisors or managers of any issues promptly to resolve them efficiently. · Process payments from customers, provide accurate change, and serve customers at the counter with excellent service. · Complete all required online and in-person training as per café's policies and food safety standards in a timely manner. · Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that enhances guests' dining and catering experiences. · Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down all customer and staff areas throughout the shift. · Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with café standards to maintain a hygienic environment. · Track and record quantities of ingredients and food products used, ensuring stock levels are sufficient for service and catering orders.
