Job Description

Position details: The Admin Assistant will report to and support the local department manager. Responsibilities include data entry into tracking systems and plant spreadsheets, providing commodity and non-commodity accounting support, and supporting other local plant administrative processes, including plant metrics administration. This is a 12 month contract position. What you'll be doing: Support the department manager with tasks related to plant activity including daily production reporting, inventories, Daily Production Wire, monthly KPR reporting, monthly scorecard, downtime reporting, data entry, inventory reconciliation. Monitor accuracy of purchase orders and OPEX expense coding. Support Procurement/Maintenance by tracking invoices. Commodity accounting including check runs, EFT clearings, monitoring payments, and related duties. Filing and document organization, as required. Month end reporting tasks for administration and commercial group. Provide office support through cross-training and vacation coverage. Provide information for internal/external audits. Complete miscellaneous report requirements and respond to ad hoc information requests. May assist in coordinating off-site training, supplies, and travel. Assist with special projects, as required. Skills and Expereince: High school diploma required, post-secondary preferred. Experience or exposure to agribusiness activities and related transactions preferred. Exposure to using enterprise business applications such as SAP, GTM preferred. Business Warehouse, or comparable commodity or ERP system preferred. Experience with end-user tools - e.g. MS Excel, Word required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment required. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential. Versatility, flexibility, and analytical skills required.
