Established in 2011, we are now one of North America's largest carriers with operating terminals extending across Western Canada & the Continental US. We need five full- time, permanent Warehouse workers to join their team as soon as possible. Job Duties · Store cargo and materials · Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and store · Unload and move materials and products · Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment · Pick orders and stock · Make labels and attach to goods · Pack and unpack goods · Organize and maintain inventory · Sort, crate and stack goods · Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking · Maintain, clean, and wash warehouse premises and equipment · Follow safety procedures and ensure safe practices · Practice caution when working around moving machines, such as order pickers, forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and mobile carts · Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. · Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use and after use inspections. Employment requirements · No formal education requirement. · No prior experience required. On the Job Training will be provided. Previous work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse setting will be an asset. · Valid Forklift operator training certificate preferred or ability to obtain one. · Basic communication skills in English in order to communicate with company drivers, customers, subcontractors and management. · Ability to practise helpful attitude toward co-workers and management team. · WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset. · Class 5 drivers license will be an asset. · Must be able to lift weight with or without equipment. · Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours. · Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. · Must be willing and able to work on warehouse equipment.
