Location of Work: 2390 Riverside Drive, Timmins, Ontario, P4R1M9 Title of Position: Truck and Coach Technician (NOC 72410) Language: English or French Vacancies: 1 Type of Position: Permanent, full-time Job Duties: · Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor. · Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults. · Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment. · Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications. · Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups. · Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems. · Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems. Skills Required: · Repetitive tasks, attention to detail, manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination. · Organized, reliable, good judgment. · Must be able to obtain Driver's License. · Must be able to obtain Trade Certification. Experience Required: · 3-5 years of relevant experience. Education Required: · Secondary (high) school certificate or vocational program or equivalent experience. Wage & Hours: $34.07 / h · Number of hours per day: 11.5 hours · Number of days per week: 4 days on 3 days off (or 7on-7off rotation) · Number of hours per week: 40+ hours · Overtime starts after: 40 hours per week · Shift rotation: shift 7 days on - 7 days off is possible.
