Job Title: Senior Logistics Coordinator (NOC 13201) Term and Conditions: · Pay: $27.00 per hour · Expected Hours: 40 hours per week · Permanent and Full-time, Monday to Friday Work Location: Brampton, ON L6Y 5X5 Benefits: · Dental Care · Extended Health Care · On-site Parking Duties/Responsibilities: · Coordinate and arrange the timely delivery of shipments to their assigned destinations, ensuring adherence to specified timelines and quality standards. · Monitor shipment progress closely and proactively address any potential delays or issues, maintaining our commitment to on-time delivery excellence. · Collaborate closely with the warehouse team at our company to oversee and execute the correct unloading sequence, optimizing efficiency and accuracy. · Organize and communicate clear instructions for shipment unloading to the warehouse team, ensuring a smooth and organized process. · Provide timely updates to clients regarding the progress of container unloading, offering transparency and ensuring clear communication channels. · Schedule delivery appointments with various fulfillment centers, including Amazon and others, based on real-time unloading progress reported by the warehouse team. · Efficiently manage the allocation and scheduling of trailers or trucks, coordinating with courier services such as UPS, Purolator, and others, in alignment with the specific package categories. · Implement robust tracking and documentation systems to maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, delivery appointments, and communication with fulfillment centers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. · Generate and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials usage, rates of production, and other production-related information using manual or computerized systems. Qualifications: 1. Education: Completion of at least 1 year post-secondary diploma/certificate. Study in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred. 2. Experience: At least 2 years' experience as shipping coordinator in logistics or similar role Other skills/conditions: 1. Highly developed organizational skills 2. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook 3. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet challenging targets 4. Excellent interpersonal and people-management skills 5. Strong knowledge in Ocean Freight Forwarding industry 6. Ability to implement negotiation skills in real situations Language: Excellent oral and written English
