Job Description
Position Info:
· Position: Chef
· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
· Wage: $34.62~$36.00hour (depending on experience)
· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
· Number of Positions: 1
· Work Location : 1320 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay, BC V9N 2K4
Benefits:
· 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
· Estimate food requirements, food costs, and labour costs
· Create new recipes
· Show and educate new cooking techniques to kitchen staff
· Instruct and supervise cooks and kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
· Plan menus and ensure foods meet quality standards
· May hire new kitchen staff
· Prepare and cook complete meals
Job requirements:
· Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
· Education: Completion of secondary school is required
· Language: English
