Our growth and success in the agricultural industry stems from our commitment to building long-lasting relationships with our customers and within the agricultural community. We currently require a Sales Representative who is stationed in Central Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible to call on current and future clients North of the Trans-Canada Highway to the Grand Prairie area. This position is specific to the marketing of day-old leghorn chicks and affiliated products and services. Strong customer support and communication are an expected attribute. Key Responsibilities: Primary task is sales and marketing of world class leghorn genetics to egg farmers in Central and Northern AlbertaAbility to provide follow up support by diagnosing and resolving production issues of the egg layer.Able to work with Industry Partners to problem solve client production dilemmas.Be part of a marketing team but be able to work independentlyHave exceptional time management skills.Communication with Management and HatcherySales area encompasses Central and Northern Alberta and contains a mix of farms including Hutterite ColoniesTravel is required and some lifting may be necessary. Qualifications:Post-secondary diploma or degree in AgriculturePrevious sales experience would be considered an asset.Experience/knowledge of Egg Industry or Associated industry would be considered an asset.Willingness to continue education and knowledge of egg-layer chickens.Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeHigh level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountabilityValid drivers license Steinbach Hatchery Ltd. offers a respectful work environment, competitive wages, and a comprehensive Health and Retirement Benefits Package.
