This is a union position located at our West Carleton Environmental Center landfill. Starting Wage: 33.75/hr. Start time: 8-hour shifts between 6:30 am and 7 pm Shift: Some weekends and holidays are included and will be paid at the overtime rate. I. Job Summary Sets-up and operates a wide variety of equipment including, Backhoe, Dozer, Loader, and performs work per specifications. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Operates equipment in compliance with the company operating procedure. Verifies that equipment is in working order, e.g., tooling, safety mechanisms. Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment. Performs daily maintenance and cleaning activities. III. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Education: None. Experience: Five (5) year of previous experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid Canadian SIN (social insurance number). C. The expected base pay range for this position across the Canada is $33.75 hourly. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
