Terms of Employment: Permanent full-time, 35.00 hours per week Monday to Friday (02:00 PM to 09:00PM) Salaries and wages: $22.00 per hour Other Benefits： · Health care plan · Bonus Duties/Responsibility: · Assist with behavioral interventions to promote positive behaviors, reduce challenging behaviors, and support the development of social and communication skills; · Support the child in practicing social interactions and communication throughout daily activities; · Help with homework or school-related activities/tasks, ensuring focus on academic goals set in collaboration with school, parents and educational specialist; · Plan and prepare meals, ensuring special dietary needs are met, including minimizing sugar intake in line with ASD recommendations; · Provide the family with respite care and emotional support, helping parents navigate challenges. This may include discussing concerns about the child's development, behavior, or progress and working with other professionals involved in the child's care. · Perform light cleaning duties as part of the daily routine, including washing dishes, making the bed, and doing laundry. Qualifications: 1. Education: Secondary diploma is required. 2. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months and on-the-job training will be also provided. Other skills/conditions: 1. Understanding the unique challenges faced by children with ADS and responding calmly in stressful situations 2. Ability to address behavioral issues and find creative solutions to encourage positive outcomes 3. First aid and CPR certificate are recommended, but not mandatory 4. Respect for the privacy and confidentiality of the homeowner and their personal belongings 5.
