Location of Work: 75 Steel City Court, Hamilton, Ontario, L8H3Y2, Canada Title of Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic (NOC 72401) Language: English Vacancies: 4 Type of Position: Permanent, full time Job Duties: · Performing maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in metal recycling operations · Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment · Troubleshooting and identify issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems · Completing repairs and replacements of faulty components, adhering to safety and quality standards · Collaborating with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize repair tasks efficiently · Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and log work performed · Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines while conducting maintenance and repairs Skills Required: · Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems · Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics · Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues · Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations · Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions Experience Required: · 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic · Welding experience is an asset Education Required: · High School Certificate or equivalent experience.
