South, Timmins, Ontario P4R1N4 Title of Position: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (NOC 72401) Language: English Vacancies: 2 Type of Position: Permanent, full time Job Duties: · Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, including drilling rigs, loaders, excavators, and support vehicles. · Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. · Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently. · Replace or repair components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical systems. · Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. · Maintain accurate service records and complete documentation for all repairs and maintenance. · Collaborate with operations and field teams to prioritize equipment repairs and servicing. · Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean, safe work environment. Skills Required: · Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. · Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation. · Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills · Ability to work independently and in a team environment. · Ability to travel to work sites as needed. · Must be able to obtain driver's license. Experience Required: · 3-5 years of proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preferably in the mining or drilling industry. Education Required: · Completion of secondary school. · Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic is an asset.
