Position: Hair Colour Technician Wage: CAD$30.00/hour Types: Full-time, Permanent Working hours: 30- 40 hours/week Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year, Sales benefit Job Duties: · Perform color consultations and take detailed notes about clients' hair color goals and processing history · Help clients to select the right hair color and advise them on different coloring options · Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hairs · Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost, highlight/lowlight hair · Blend own colors or apply the correct color dyes from the selection · Use coloring techniques for a variety of hair textures · Promote to clients by recommending various products and salon services · Train staff/helpers if necessary Job Requirements: · Completion of secondary school; · Completion of a two- or three-year hairstyling apprenticeship program or completion of a college or other program in hairstyling combined with on-the-job training or 2- 3 years of work experience.
