About Us: As one of the largest retirement homes in Richmond city, Oak Tree House Inc. is recruiting for the position of Chief Dietitian. Whether in the public or private sector, retirement home spaces in Canada are highly limited, with the average waiting time for each applicant exceeding 2 years. To cope with this situation, we not only provide nutritious meals to our in-house residents but also offer remote home care services for elderly individuals with limited mobility. These services are tailored to their physical conditions and taste preferences, posing a significant challenge to our current meal supply system. We are seeking a talented and experienced Chief Dietitian to help drive our development and provide high-quality nutrition care. Chief Dietitian Duties: - Plan and implement comprehensive nutrition care programs for residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met according to their health conditions and preferences. - Oversee and manage the dietetic services for both in-house residents and those receiving remote care, ensuring the food provided is nutritious, safe, and meets all regulatory standards. - Supervise and train dietetic staff, providing ongoing professional development to ensure high standards of nutrition care. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal health outcomes. - Ensure that the meal preparation process adheres to safety and quality guidelines, including maintaining appropriate food storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices. - Collaborate with medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for residents, particularly those with specialized dietary needs. - Manage the budget for dietetic services, including food purchasing and staffing. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nutrition and food science developments and apply them to improve patient care. - Report to management and provide input on nutritional aspects of facility operations. Job Requirements: - Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred. - Relevant qualifications and certifications in dietetics preferred. - Experience in a retirement home setting is an asset. - Experience in managing nutrition services for elderly residents is an asset. Job Criteria: - Start Date: As soon as possible. - Position Type: Full-Time Permanent. - Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or medicial related field, or equivalent experience. - Vacation Time: 2 weeks/year. - Paid Holidays, Vacations, and Sick Leave. - Benefits: Comprehensive Health Insurance. - Economic Benefits: Bonus.
