The RoleThe Beef Nutrition Consultant will provide nutritional and management solutions to our beef cow-calf and Feedlot customers. You will be responsible for individual customer account management and building customer loyalty through the use of the consultative selling process. Primary Roles and Responsibilities To champion the More Than Just Feed vision, culture, and core valuesWork closely with the Bullseye Brand Manager to continuously improve your consultative selling skills, which leads to improved customer loyalty and retention to the Bullseye brandWork directly with progressive beef producer accounts to provide leading-edge, customized nutritional solutions and value-based management servicesEmbrace teamwork and support within the Bullseye team; understand internal capabilities and processes of manufacturing and logisticsKeep up-to-date with industry trends to understand producers’ evolving expectations and needsDevelop new business through prospect management and producer meetingsPassionate about creating happy customers by “Keeping it Simple” and doing what’s right for the customer and BullseyeIncrease Retail product sales to the independent producer segment and possess the technical ability to answer their questionsWorking knowledge of forage quality and management with the ability to communicate to producers about their forage assessmentsMay lead individual field-based projects on behalf of Bullseye that bring innovation to our customersAct as a Bullseye representative at customer events, industry trade shows, and conferencesDevelop and maintain relationships with other industry advisors, including veterinarians, financial institutions and reproductive techniciansOther duties as required and assignedSkills & Experience RequiredStrong communication skills that align with various personality types; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the sales team and company employeesPositive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented team player who is open to learning, challenging, and improvingDetail oriented and resourceful with strong analytical capabilities and decision-making skillsStrong time management and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of forage and forage productionAdvanced understanding of beef nutrition and farm management with the capabilities to improve these skills through a continuous learning processHonesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actionsExceptional customer service and relationship-building skillsFlexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentQualifications includeUniversity or college diploma or degree in an agriculture-related program or equivalent experienceBeef industry experience essentialAgricultural sales experience preferredPrevious ration balancing expertise and the ability to adjust ration recommendations accordinglyIntermediate knowledge of all Microsoft applicationsOur current success!Since 2005, More Than Just Feed and its family of Brands have proudly served Western Canada’s feed industry with high-quality products and services.
