Job Title: Baker and Pastry Maker (NOC 63202) Description Garden City Kosher Bakery Ltd (DBA Garden City Bakery) is a food manufacturing company that specializes in baking bread and confectionaries. The company sells to several retail customers such as Save-On Foods, Loblaw, Sobeys, and several groceries / retail stores in British Columbia. Garden City Kosher Bakery Ltd (DBA Garden City Bakery) is currently looking for Baker and Pastry Maker to bake breads and pastries and operate / formulate high production equipment to improve product quality and output given the huge demand. Furthermore, the candidates will perform material handling, clean up, packaging and other activities related to food processing. Job duties · Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders · Bake mixed doughs and batters · Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods · Ensure quality of products meets established standards · Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce · Purchase baking supplies · May oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods · May hire, train, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
