The role provides expertise for planning program activities, performing testing procedures, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying deficiencies and ensuring their adequate remediation. What you’ll do:Complete annual ICFR program planning and scoping based on risk and materialityLead and coordinate the annual fraud risk assessmentMaintain process narratives and flow charts that document key controlsDevelop and maintain Risk and Control MatricesLead testing and evaluation and conclude on the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of the key controlsIdentify control deficiencies and make recommendationsEvaluate the adequacy of action plansPrepare ongoing and quarterly program reporting on testing results and action plansProvide on-the-job training and feedback throughout assigned tasks to control owners What we’re looking for:Problem-solver with strong analytical skillsOrganized multi-tasker who pays attention to detailCritical thinker with sound judgmentConfident communicator able to build strong relationships What you’ll need:An undergraduate degree in Business Administration and CPA designation plus at least 3-5 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience);Understanding of the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada internal control framework, the COSO framework and the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Professional Practices Framework, including audit techniques and risk management methodologies
