As a Motel Managing Supervisor (NOC: 62022), you will perform some or all of the following duties: · Welcome and register guests once they arrive. · Collect payment and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses. · Coordinate, assign and review the work of motel and other accommodation services clerks, reservation clerks and other workers. · Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities with other work units or departments. · Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service. · Resolve issues regarding motel services, amenities, and policies. · Organize activities and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure productivities. · Create and apply marketing strategy to promote the motel's services and amenities. · Coordinate and external parties including suppliers, travel agencies, and conference planners. · Evaluate motel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules. · Assist in financial activities including establishing room rates, setting budgets, and assigning funds to departments. · Assist in hiring and train new staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. · Order supplies and materials maintain inventory. · Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work Qualifications: · Completion of secondary school; · 1 to 2 years of experience in the occupation supervised is required. · Proven analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations; · Multi-tasker, attention to detail, and effective time management.
