Cyclepath Kelowna Inc is looking for a Full-Time Senior Bicycle Mechanic (NOC 73209). This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week, $25.00/hour, with benefits. Job Description: · Repair bikes, including replacement and installation of any parts · Repair electric assist bikes · Build wheels, including determining hub, rim & spoke requirements · Repair and overhaul suspension · Repair and maintain hydraulic brakes · Assist other mechanics with more technical jobs in the way of coaching and teaching · Checking the quality of bike builds from mechanics and assemblers and providing constructive and positive feedback · Work closely with other senior team members to make suggestions for changes and improvement in the service area (and other areas of the store) if and when necessary · Responsible for ensuring that parts required for servicing and repair are kept in stock · Provide customers with a detailed description of repairs done to their bikes both verbally and written on work orders · Input work orders into the point-of-sale system · Provide input and feedback on product purchases both in-season and at "booking time", including bicycles and parts · Assemble bikes when required · Fill out and schedule work orders · Remain current on all of the latest bike technology including electric assist bikes Job Requirements: · Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Bike Mechanic in a bike shop · Experience in bike assembly and repair of a variety of bikes - road bikes (including touring, triathlon and cyclocross), hybrid, mountain, full suspension and BMX bikes · Experience in wheel building, shock overhauls and brake bleeding · Language in the workplace is English We offer: · $25.00 per hour, working 40 hours per week. · Relocation costs. · Year-round full-time position. · A fun team environment (our team members regularly ride together). · Opportunities to improve your skills · Opportunity to lead community group rides (optional). · Occasional after-work beverages (supplied) and lunch supplied on Saturdays during the busy season. · Health and dental benefits. · An opportunity to improve your skills and grow with the position
