Position Details: Company Name: Cornwall Animal Hospital Position: Veterinarian assistant Number of Positions: 1 Terms of employment: Full Time, Permanent Wages: $28.50 - $29.50 per hour Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible Business & work location: 36-1495 Cornwall Road, Oakville, ON L6J 0B2 Job Responsibilities: · Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery · Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian · Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian · Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry · Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery · Counsel clients on animal health care · Conduct and assist in laboratory research · Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests · Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals Job Requirements: · Completion of an accredited college degree/diploma in animal health/veterinary program. · Experience as a Veterinary Assistant will be an asset · Applicant must be fluent in English How to apply?
