Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Tooling Inspector to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting tooling components, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining the highest standards of quality for our custom fabrication and machining services. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed inspections of tooling components and custom-fabricated parts for quality assurance. Verify parts and assemblies against blueprints, CAD designs, and client specifications. Identify and document non-conformities, providing recommendations for corrective actions. Perform surface grinding and inspect machined parts produced on CNC machines and horizontal boring mills. Collaborate with the in-house design team to ensure seamless execution of custom projects. Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect parts with accuracy. Maintain accurate inspection records and reports. Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working condition. Qualifications: · Completion of post-secondary education is required. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in tooling inspection, machining, or a related manufacturing environment. Proven experience as a Tooling Inspector or similar role in a machining, fabrication, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of machining and welding processes, including CNC machining and horizontal boring mills. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 15,000 lbs. with overhead crane support).
