Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  Project Overview: Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.  Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day.    Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2.  Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source. Job Summary: The incumbent must have the necessary knowledge and directly related experience in the construction of industrial facilities and possess the necessary skills to plan and direct the execution of the construction Indirect support work. The Indirects Supervisor must support the project efforts to plan and safely execute required construction work. Major Responsibilities: Leadership/Supervision (Discipline Supervision) Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.  Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.  Participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.  Planning/Productivity Determines workforce requirements. Coordinates established area operational plans.  Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.  Identify indirect critical items that have the potential of impacting the work schedule. Supervises the development of construction drawings and sketches. Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.  Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.  Ensures the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.  Works with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents Oversees engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals. Oversees the preparation of testing processes and required test equipment Education and Experience Requirements: Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change is desirable 8-10 years’ experience within the Heavy Industrial Field. Required Knowledge and Skills: Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating other workgroups  Strong knowledge set up and running an indirect team. Excellent problem-solving ability Prior work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above. Additional Information This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
